Medication Group

System Admin can set up the different Medication Groups or Categories that individual medications are classified. [ Code Table > Add Medication > Medication Group ]. Note that this is usually decided with Head of Nursing during deployment and is seldom modified.

  1. Select Medication Group from the Code Table


(To note: Medication Group would refer to adding Medication in code table, see picture below) 


  1. Select Add Medication Group to add a new medication group, key in the Medication group and click Submit.

3. Select Medication Group Listings to view the current Medication Group listings.



4. To view the medication group listing, select the 'View' icon which looks like a plus sign in a magnifying glass. To edit the attachment type listing, select the 'Edit' icon which looks like a pencil. 


Note: If it is indicated under 'Medication/Allergy' that the Patient is allergic to a certain medication (e.g. Med A). Then the user will not be able to add medications that are in the same medication group as that Med A for the Patient.
